Nicholas Kawaguchi
Nicholas Wataru Kawaguchi is a graduate of New World School of the Arts (NWSA); Musical Theater division. Born in Florida, he moved to Colorado at age 2, not returning till after his father’s death. Back in Florida, he got accepted to Parkway Middle School’s theater program. That is where he found his passion for theater. He got a full scholarship to “Peaches School of Dance” and was on their Acrobatics, Jazz and Ballet dance teams. He is a member of Zedric Bembry’s dance collective “Live in Color” since 2004. He has been formally trained in ballet with Vladimir Isaacs’ Arts Ballet Theater, performing in the production of “Firebird”. In 2005 he was accepted to NWSA. There Nick grasped the chance to be fully immersed in his art & found his passion for theater, as a career. He has since dedicated himself to his art form. He has a basic understanding of both dialects and stage combat and has already choreographed several stunts/dance fighting sequences. He is a skilled tumbler. Some of The Shows he has done are; “How to succeed in Business”/Wally Womper, “Chess”/Arbiter, “Thoroughly Modern Millie”/Ching Hoe, where he did all the lines in actual CANTONESE. He also played in the NWSA college production of “Titanic”/Stevedore/ Mr.Taylor. He has danced and competed in numerous shows with Peaches dance teams and “Live in Color”. He has been employed as a professional dancer. His second passion would be cooking. As he grew up up in the food industry. His most recent achievment includes training and becoming a BENIHANA HIBACHI CHEF.
